Most "AI for oil & gas" conversations are led by people who've never built a runsheet, and most landmen don't ship software. I do both.

On the bench, I take on individual landman files — cursory checks, mineral title, curative, regulatory filings — and deliver them with the same standard I've held for sixteen years. Off the bench, I help land departments figure out where AI actually belongs in their title workflow, what to build, what to buy, and what to leave alone.

The two practices reinforce each other. Title work keeps the consulting honest. The consulting keeps the title work modern.

One signature on every file.

Torbert Resources is a deliberately small practice. The work I take on is the work I do.

[01] Senior on the file Every project I take on, I run. No work routed to juniors or contractors. The person you call is the person on the page.
[02] Direct line Phone, email, text. No portal logins, no account managers, no escalation paths. If you have a question on Tuesday, you have an answer Tuesday.
[03] Defensible by default Detailed runsheets, accurate ownership reports, work product that holds up when money is on the line.
[04] Scoped honestly If the file is wrong for a single landman — multi-state crews, deep brokerage support — I refer it cleanly to Digital Ledger Technologies or another firm. No bait-and-bill.
